Emo DaggerEmo Dagger
Emo Dagger was born in Lebanon, and later moved to the U.S. at the age of seven. His mother noticed his vocal and musical abilities before he could even speak. Singing was a safe place for him to tone out the Lebanese Civil War that played as a back drop to his early life. Once in the U.S., Emo nurtured his musical abilities in local and school musicals, winning state vocal competitions, and as a pianist. At 17, Emo began collecting his thoughts and began creating his debut album “So This is … Me.”

"So This is ... Me," the intrepid new record release from hot new solo Artist Emo D., begins to personify the realness that peels down to the core of everything that makes him who he is today. The 12 new tracks + 1 Intro that make up "So This is ... Me," will surely take the world by storm with its honesty and power. The Album showcases a mix of modesty, confidence, sincerity, and independence, that combined, depicts the soul essence of the album.

Emo began to collect all his thoughts and ideas about this record, through experiences that he had been through, and was blessed enough to portray his visions of them in the studio. There, Emo wrote, composed, arranged, and produced the first chapter of his musical career, "So This is ... Me." "I wanted to create something that people would take notice of, something that speaks to everyone, something that formally introduced the real me," Emo admits. The album consists of powerful anthems, up-tempo pop/R&B songs, ballads, and pop rock, with some influences of Emo's Mediterranean culture.

"I completely envisioned what I wanted to do with my music from beginning to end," Emo continues. "For a long time, I'd been uncomfortable with the direction that certain people in the music industry where trying to lead me in. It just didn't feel right trying to hide who I was, I felt like I was pretending to be something I am not, and was suffering from it. It was the biggest risk to take; flying solo, and recording this album on my own, but it has come to be the most rewarding and eye opening experience."

"It was important for me to get my true feelings across to the listeners in this album, as if their friend, loved one, or family member was talking to them. Each time the listener hears one of my songs, I hope that they find something new in it, whether it be musically, or in the meaning of the song." For Emo, it's all about being true to himself. "Music is my life, I need it to survive," he adds. "To all of those who have experienced obstacles in life, to those who dream big, and to those who believe in music, this album is dedicated to all of you.”
