One of the greatest high school basketball players in Ohio history, Jay has many wonderful memories from his playing days. Yet, today, he helps us realize that we must make the best of good times and bad. As a high school sophomore, he led the nation in scoring with a 40 point average. He averaged 33 points per game throughout his four year high school career and still holds the record for the most points ever scored in Ohio history. Her went on to star at The Ohio State University, where he was team captain and first team All-Big Ten in his senior year. However, he broke his neck, which doused his dream of playing basketball in the N.B.A. Neverthless, he has management with a major sports show manufacturer and makes motivational speeches, primarily to students.
