Fred Davis is a columnist and strategist for CMP Publications, the parent company of such popular computer magazines as WINDOWS, HomePC, and NetGuide. He is also the author/co-author of eleven computer books, including Cybersource, Desktop Publishing, and the Windows '95 Bible. He served as editor-in-chief of MacUser magazine, technology editor for PCWeek, and director of PC Magazine Labs. Named "one of the 100 most influential leaders in the computer industry" by MicroTimes, Davis has been quoted in publications including Business Week, The Wall Street Journal, and The New York Times. As a frequent commentator on radio and television, he has appeared on NPR's All Things Considered, the nationally-syndicated ON Computers, the CBS Evening News, and ABC Business World.
