Ted Nugent was born on Dec 13, 1948 in Detroit, MI. and went on to have a very successful rock career. He began playing the guitar in 1956, and to date he has released 29 recordings and sold over 30 million albums. Renowned as one of the world's leading guitar showmen, he is equally well known as one of the nation's preeminent media personalities.

Nugent started in a band called the ‘Lourds’ and then formed ‘The Amboy Dukes’ in 1965. The Dukes recorded several albums after that, however, Nugent decided to go solo in 1975 stringing together hit album after hit album.
