Kwame Binea
With his experience from living in Ghana, London and the United States he was exposed to many different traditions, cultures and genres of music. His appreciation and influence grew from such artist as Otis Redding, Bob Marley, Sam Cooke, Seal & Sade. Moving to the United Stated he was able to fulfill his dream of music by attending William Paterson University where the Jazz and Contemporary music program are recognized as one of the finest in the country. It was at William Paterson he began pursing his musical career by teaming up with fellow music students and created a classic rock, blues and soul band, "The Kause" releasing a few albums and paving the way for acceptance into the New York venues. As accomplished artist' the invitations to perform grew rapidly at popular venue's such as Arlene's Grocery, The Knitting Factory, Crash Mansion, Sullivan Hall, Bitter End & The Lion's Den. Kwame's strength in music has been proven by the many cultures he grew up in reflecting his personal experience by composing original songs following his many paths. He continues to spread the message of peace and love with songs like "On the Outside and World on Fire" adding a collective fusion of blues, soul, reggae, rock and r&b his passion and intensity are a symbol of who Kwame Binea is. | ||||||||
