This is a 5 piece musical organization that prides itself on the accuracy of the popular music from the Civil War Period. The band plays "Parlor Music" which was the music of the day in the 1860's and alsy stirring patriotic music which was composed during the Civil War. Other music from the era includes many Irish tunes carried to this country by the immigrants. The musicians wear Civil War Period uniforms as part of the program. The musicians also play a wide assortment of instruments which constantly vary the historical sound. Instrumentation includes Guitar, Banjo, Mandolin, Upright Bass, Tin Whistle and a large variety of percussion instruments popular from the period. The band also makes use of a 3 part vocal harmony. The stirring 1860 arrangement of our National Anthem has been heard everywhere from the battlefields of Gettysburg to the stage of Ford's Theater in Washington D.C.
