Star Tour 2017 delivers:

• An unforgettable program for all ages that boosts scientific literacy and inquiry • Awesome presentation visuals • Star viewing through a powerful custom-designed telescope • Question and answer sessions for inquiring minds hosted by former a consultant to NASA

Kevin is a gifted astronomer, having worked as a consultant with NASA, the Chandra X-Ray Observatory launched on the space shuttle with the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics, and other ground-based observatories. Kevin won national and international awards in his field, was both a Wright Fellow and an Einstein Fellow, and did some work with Brookhaven National Laboratory.

Astronomy for Everyone: Size & Scale of the Universe, one of our twenty incredible astronomy programs, is an exciting family program for ages 8 to 100+ about the universe from the very small to the very large that lasts approximately 1 ½ hours. It's a virtual journey throughout the cosmos. I use an MS PowerPoint slide presentation format with my laptop PC, so a digital projector and screen are needed. I also incorporate some exciting video footage. Following this indoor formal presentation, we all go outdoors to view celestial objects in the night sky through a powerful hand-crafted telescope, such as the ice crystal rings of Saturn, craters on the Moon, etc., weather permitting. If it is a daytime program then a solar filter (same one NASA uses) is used to view sunspots on the sun.

• "Thank you so much for the absolutely fantastic public presentation you so excellently provided! Your program was truly incredible! You took a great subject (deserving of much more national interest) and made it a truly awesome, inspiring, and unforgettable experience!" • "You demystify the mysterious and leave us awestruck at the wonders that lay beyond. You truly help us reach for the stars." • "Because of you, I want to be an astronaut when I grow up!"
