Originally discovered by Putumayo World Music CEO Dan Storper while visiting San Juan,Puerto Rico, Banda Criolla has appeared on both "Best of World Music" and "Best of World" Instrumental CD's. The new configuration of this legendary Latin band received a standing ovation at their most recent presentation at the "Springfield Jazz and Roots Festival". Seventeen CD recordings by band leader /composerJose Gonzalez and perfromances at major international venues (World Guitar festival (Martinique) Heineked Jazz Jam Series (Puerto Rico) as well as concerts at Puerto Rico Conservatory of Music , University of Puerto Rico, Princeton , Yale , Berklee Performance Center and guest artists with Puerto Rico and Hartford Symphony Orchestras make this a world class ensemble equally versatile on the jazz stage and the dance floor..
