The Forward Motion Jazz Orchestra
The FORWARD MOTION JAZZ ORCHESTRA was formed in Vancouver in 2009. This 18 or 12 piece big band (plus singers!) features some of Vancouver’s best musicians ranging in age from 20 to 70!

We play music from the Big Band era to the modern age and beyond... From Count Basie to Pat Metheny including music from Maria Schneider, Vince Mendoza and original compositions from some of the band members. Our 12 piece band play the classic big band repertoire of the 30’s, 40’s and 50’s all up to the modern pop classics!
