GEORGIA-AMERICA ART BRIDGEGEORGIA-AMERICA ART BRIDGE
GEORGIA-AMERICA ART BRIDGE, based in Batumi, GEORGIA, was formed just over a year ago by Temuri Koridze, who is a world renowned soloist, choreographer, instructor and director. Whilst residing in the States, Temuri formed a children's dance group which enjoyed commendation by the Russian Consul and the Mayor of San Francisco for its and Temuri's achievement in spreading awareness and interest in the Georgian culture through dance. He dispersed that group because he was invited to choreograph for and perform in the Georgian Dance Act in Cirque du Soleil's touring show "Varekai" by Dominique Champagne, the show's director. He left the show eight years later to form another children's group in his hometown of Batumi. GEORGIA-AMERICA ART BRIDGE has successfully performed amongst some of the most elite youth groups in Georgia; the majority of which were composed of children much older than those in this group and who had been dancing many years together. They first performed after just four months' training and received medals and diplomas for their achievement and for Temuri's unique choreogaphic style.
