California Dreamers
California Dreamers brings the sounds and sights of the late 60's "Flower Power" music to life with their Mamas and Papas tribute show. Local press has covered the buzz around the unique niche the band covers - very family-friendly for festivals/fairs and other events. The vocals evoke the best of Cass, Michelle, Denny and John - as quoted in a local newspaper interview - "(Jen) Gelineau sings the role of Mama Cass with an almost eerie likeness, with (Shannon)Dillon taking over the high soprano of Michelle Phillips." More than solely a Mamas and Papas tribute, though, California Dreamers offer the best of the vocal harmony pop/rock bands of the late 60's - The Zombies, The Byrds, The Youngbloods, The Seekers, Scott McKenzie (Are you Going to San Francisco), Friend and Lover (Reach out of the Darkness), The 5th Dimension, Jefferson Airplane, The Association, and more. We offer the flexibility of providing shows between 90 min through 3 h, with corresponding pricing. California Dreamers have been booked into some of the largest festivals in the Northeast for the 2009 season - currently we are booking limited openings from July through end of 2009.
