The Jessica Horn Band
Singing is second-nature to Jessica Horn, who learned to play the piano and guitar in order to accompany herself and chart her compositions. Classically trained, she began playing with her first original band in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, at age 18. Back in Kansas City, she took a job as lead vocalist for a sixties cover band that played at fairs and country clubs. There were several bands and styles to follow, including retro, blues and rock.. Jessica has graced the stages of all of the local hot spots through the years, including a coveted weekly spot at Kansas City’s famous Grand Emporium with her former endeavor Soulmatic, as well as headlining an event at the historic Uptown Theatre and grabbing top spots in popular clubs in college towns and urban areas throughout the midwest. She performed the National Anthem for the 2006 Busch Series Race at the Kansas Speedway in 2006. Jessica's songs are a catchy and relatable mixture of country, folk and southern rock. Her first solo country demo, released 2006, is receiving airtime in Europe. Her full length album will be released in 2007. The Jessica Horn Band has over 85 years of combined experience playing in the studio and on the road for a long list of artists, including household names. They bring a high degree of professionalism to the show, while Jessica keeps it light hearted and fun. As well as original tunes, the band plays cover material from the classics to today's country and red dirt hits. Jessica is not the only talented singer in the group, so you can bet you'll hear the guys belt out a few, too. If you are looking for a high energy professional performance, JHB won't let you down.
