RAY RAYMONDRAY RAYMOND
Recording artist Ray Raymond began his singing career in Miami’s South Beach. His evolution from a big-voiced South Beach nightclub singer into a sophisticated and accomplished international artist has mirrored his hometown’s own evolution from a one dimensional party town into a culturally sophisticated destination.

His success is due in part to his commitment to stay true to himself as an artist which is why Ray Raymond, after a decade of a stalled career (because his voice was too big to fit the current sound), has suddenly found himself toe to toe with other artists that include Josh Groban, Lara Fabian and Il Divo, artists who’s styles have all helped carve out a niche and market base in a new genre, his genre, “Popera”, and one in which Ray Raymond’s now thrives.

“Popera”, the new and exciting hybrid genre that combines Pop, Opera, and Broadway is sweeping a country starved for a reprieve from Hip-Hop, and Pop Princesses with questionable vocal ability. Ray’s stage show can be more aptly described as, “concert-style”. His popular and entertaining live performances have benefited from his previous experience as a TV host and public speaker which have contributed to his ability to command the stage in an imposing and engaging way. Onstage Ray weaves a personal and entertaining collection of stories around songs from his debut album, “Gratitude”, confidently delivered in rich tones and raw emotion. This display of Ray Raymond charisma combined with his 1st class presentation have earned him rave reviews from his audiences, the press, and fellow music professionals who have all branded him a world class talent.

“Ray Raymond, ‘a better than good singer’, introduced a more glamorous, introspective and charismatic persona. Under that banner, he wove a collection of personal, witty and sexy ballads around the other performers’ standard karaoke-like fare.” The New York Times

“Ray Raymond has emerged as one of the first legitimate singing talents to rise up in tandem with South Beach’s own culturally significant ascension. Ocean Drive Magazine

“Justin Timberlake may have coined the phrase, ‘I’m bringing sexy back’, but it’s obvious that Ray Raymond was the inspiration for the soon-to-be cliché.” Miami New Times
