Jia(Chinese for family) is a musical collaboration, created by guitarist Chris Mariner and drummer Benjamin Jones, fusing electronica, jazz, funk and rock into danceable, groove-oriented soundscapes. Their live ‘experimentations in eclectronica’ continually strive to push the envelope of sonic exploration, leaving audiences uplifted and inspired. In addition to live performance, Chris and Ben compose, produce, and remix music at their studio in southern Connecticut. Paramount to jia is their dedication to collaborating with the growing network of artists, musicians, and performers, who share the intention of bringing about positive change through art.
