The Cadillacs' stage show was choreographed by Cholly Atkins, who later performed the same function for Motown Records. Their name was chosen because, in part, all the birds were taken at the time. The group appeared in the 1958 film featuring Alan Freed, "Go Johnny, Go!"
Their hits included "Gloria," "The Girl I Love," "Speedo," "My Girl Friend," "Peek-a-Boo," "Please, Mr. Johnson," "Wishing Well" and "Jaywalkin'."
