Richard Speight is one of America's favorite storytellers and novelists. He began putting his stories on paper in the mid-1970's and later became a full-time writer, speaker, and storyteller. This trial lawyer turned novelist has received critical acclaim for his book, Desperate Justice, which was published in five languages and became an ABC-TV Sunday Night Movie. His second book, Triple Jeopardy, was read on National Public Radio. In the early 1990's, Speight returned to his roots with the publication of The Pancake Man and Friends, a collection of original stories. With colorful stories, vignettes, humor, and a warm delivery style, Speight brings his characters alive, while sharing inspiring observations about everyday people who accomplish the extraordinary. A Nashville native, Speight is particularly effective in talking about the city and people he loves.
