Phil DiTommaso
After spending some time performing at various comedy clubs throughout New York City, God touched Phil's life. He made a decision to live his life for The Lord Jesus Christ. God literally cleaned up Phil's act. He went from being a foul-mouthed, angry comic, to the clean, mature professional you see today. In fact, Phil will sometimes share what God has done in his life during or after his performance. Most of all, Phil hopes that people will leave his performance changed. He knows that people come in with various problems and he feels it is his job to temporarily help them forget those problems. His goal is to encourage them and to help them press on, through an ironic and humorous look at everyday life. To quote Proverbs 17:22, "A cheerful heart is good medicine." We have learned that studies done in the medical community show that laughter actually promotes healing, thus the reason his wife calls him "the medicine man." Phil considers it an honor to be a part of the process. Over the past 15 years, doors have opened for Phil not only in the venue of the comedy clubs, but also corporate events, churches, fund raisers, prison ministries, cruise ships and yes, even weddings. He has performed at the Lamb's theatre on Broadway and headlined at Stand-up New York's "Clean Comedy Night." This versatility has helped Phil grow into what people have called "a real professional who is a natural in front of a crowd." His clean, family-oriented comedy is why Phil has been a success in front of such a wide variety of audiences. | ||||||||
