Pat Schroeder was the longest-serving woman in the U.S. House of Representatives. Since first elected to Congress in 1972, Ms. Schroeder has been reelected 11 times in the first congressional district of Colorado. Patricia Schroeder is an outspoken independent voice within the Democratic party. She has been a leader on foreign and military policy; arms control and disarmament. Patricia Schroeder is dedicated to health, educational opportunity, rights, and policies that affect children, women and families, and women's economics. She has also been a member of the House Judiciary Committee, the Constitutional Subcommittee and the National Security Committee. Patricia Schroeder lives in the Washington, D.C. area.
