Kevin Freiberg
Kevin addresses over one hundred corporations, professional associations, government agencies, and national and international business conferences a year. He is known for using powerful stories to illustrate how, in a do-more-with-less-world where change is constant and competition relentless, it is still possible to go home at the end of the day emotionally charged instead of emotionally drained. Kevin believes that we teach what we most need to learn, so he is dedicated to helping people find the heroism in their work and rediscover the joy of living life with purpose, principles, and passion. Kevin is the president of San Diego Consulting Group, Inc., a consulting and professional speaking firm dedicated to equipping leaders for a world of change. His clients include Southwest Airlines Co., Arthur Andersen & Co., Catholic Healthcare West, Motorola, Cox Communications, Inc., Turner Entertainment Corporation, and Williams-Sonoma. Before becoming a full-time speaker and consultant, Kevin taught for eight years at the University of San Diego and San Diego State University, where he met his wife, Jackie. He received his bachelors in English literature and masters degree in speech communication from San Diego State; he earned his doctorate in educational leadership at the University of San Diego. Kevin and Jackie are co-authors of NUTS! Southwest Airlines' Crazy Recipe for Business and Personal Success, published October 1996 by Bard Books. It is an inside look at the leadership principles and practices behind one of America's truly great success stories.
