Fredric D. Rosen is chairman and CEO of Key3Media Group, Inc. (formerly ZD Events), the world's leading producer of information technology events, including COMDEX, NetWorld+Interop, Seybold Seminars and other leading IT trade shows. Key3Media was spun off from Ziff-Davis, Inc. and began trading as an independent public company on August 21, 2000 on the NYSE under the symbol “KME.” Key3Media currently serves more than 6,000 exhibiting companies and two million attendees through more than 60 events in 19 countries.

Mr. Rosen was previously president and CEO of Ticketmaster Group, Inc. Under his leadership, Ticketmaster was transformed from a small startup ticketing company with less than $1 million in annual ticket sales in 1982 into the world’s leading computerized ticketing service—with a powerful global brand synonymous with ticketing, a pioneering Internet presence and more than $2 billion in annual ticket sales.

Ticketmaster went public in the fall of 1996 and was sold to USA Networks in 1998, creating substantial value for Ticketmaster shareholders. At the time of the acquisition, Ticketmaster was selling more than 70 million tickets annually through nearly 3,000 retail outlets in 210 U.S. cities, 30 worldwide call centers and an increasingly popular Web site. The Company exclusively represented 3,750 clients, including 85 professional sports franchises and hundreds of leading arenas, stadiums, performing arts venues and theaters, including such well-known facilities as Madison Square Garden, Radio City Music Hall, the Great Western Forum, the United Center, the Hollywood Bowl and the Palace at Auburn Hills.

Mr. Rosen also serves as an outside director of a number of companies and nonprofit organizations. He is a member of the board of directors of Engage Technologies, Inc., dream-life, Inc., Casden Properties, Inc., M•Cam, Inc., Go Co-Op, Inc., and Playboy.com, Inc. Among his many community and philanthropic interests in Los Angeles, he is a contributor and active fundraiser for the City of Hope, where he sits on the City of Hope national board of directors and the executive committee of the music chapter. He is also a board member of the California Institute of the Arts, AIDS Project Los Angeles, the Simon Wiesenthal Center, Very Special Arts, and is a trustee of Crossroads School and the Center for Early Education.

Over the years, Mr. Rosen has been recognized for both his philanthropic activities and entrepreneurship, including receiving the City of Hope’s “Spirit of Life” Award in 1994, the Ellis Island Medal of Honor in 1993 and the University of Southern California’s “Entrepeneur of the Year” award in 1989.
