Dr. Chester Finn, Jr. is co-chairman of the Educational Excellence Network and one of the nation's leading experts on education. Together with Lamar Alexander, Finn directs the "American Dream" project. The author of nine books, his writings include: The New Promise of American Life (co-edited with Lamar Alexander); Radical Education Reforms; Education Reforms in the 90's; We Must Take Charge: Our Schools and Our Futures; What Do Our 17-Year Olds Know?; and Scholars, Dollars, and Bureaucrats.
