Celia Sandys
Following her interest in the less well known aspects of her grandfather's life, her recently published book, Churchill Wanted Dead or Alive, tells of Churchill's breathtaking adventures in South Africa during the Anglo-Boer War. As a result of her time researching in South Africa, Celia Sandys became involved in the commemorations planned for the centenary of the war. Her third book, In my Grandfather's Footsteps, chronicles her grandfather's travels, some of which she accompanied him on. Combining travel, art, and history, it is planned as a major television series. Celia Sandys is the daughter of Churchill's eldest daughter, Diana, and Lord Duncan Sandys, the conservative cabinet minister and member of his father-in-law's wartime government.
