Mi Primer Amor, Kevin Ceballo's solo debut album, was released on RMM Records in September, 2000, and is an exciting mix of romantic Salsa as well as a classic sound. It includes material by some of the top writers and producers in the Latin music world.

Kevin's versatility makes all this possible. Mi Primer Amor includes two tracks composed by Kevin: "What Kind Of Man", an English ballad, and "Quiero Bailar."

Within a few weeks of the release of Kevin's breakout single, "Mi Primer Amor", the track rocketed to #1 on the Tropical Chart of Radio & Musica, where it remained for an incredible 7 weeks. It also reached #2 on Billboard's Tropical chart in the December 23, 2000 issue. It was that week's Greatest Gainer in Billboard's Latin Top 50, where it reached #16. Leila Cobo's Latin Notas Column featured an enlightening personal interview with Kevin.

All those accomplishments, however, pale in comparison to what occurred on February 8, 2001. That night, at Univison's " Premio lo Nuestro" award show in Miami, Kevin won the honor of Revelacion del Aņo in the Tropical category. On February 17, Kevin Ceballo, Latin music's 'New Artist of the Year', brought his unique and exciting talent to Madison Square Garden, as one of the headliners of the "Concerto Del Amor." Kevin excited the Miami crowd at the Billboard Awards in April, just as his second single in the U.S., "Como Fue Capaz", was released to positive radio response. In Latin America, Universal Records chose the Bi-Lingual crossover, "Quiero Bailar", to follow up "Mi Primer Amor", and it quickly shot into the Top 10 in Panama and Costa Rica.

In September 2001, WKTU in New York began playing Kevin's English version of his Latin hit, "Mi Primer Amor", called "My First Love". In just a couple of weeks, it became Top 5, and introduced Kevin to a whole new audience. Now, Kevin continues to perform with his band, as he awaits the national release of his new single as a Universal Recording Artist, "My First Love".
