Joseph Barbara
Barbara has extensive stage credits, including the role of Danny Zuko in the hit Broadway revival of Grease. While working on Another World, Barbara did what few other daytime actors have done: he successfully carried a heavy daytime schedule while simultaneously starring in eight shows a week on Broadway. His other stage work includes two years as Dominick Fabrizi in the popular off-Broadway show Tony and Tina’s Wedding. His television credits also include a featured role on The Cosby Mysteries and co-hosting the 25th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards on NBC. Barbara earned a B.S. in television and film production at Syracuse University. His first job out of college was as a production assistant at Entertainment Tonight in New York. Barbara is a native of New Smyrna Beach, Fla. He enjoys music, especially Elvis, Frank Sinatra and assorted “oldies.” He also plays guitar and writes country songs. Barbara’s birthday is December 5.
