Devon ”Devgroove” Talbert was born in Belize City, Belize. When Devon migrated to the United States, he vigorously pursued his musical career thus entertaining partygoers for over 13 years. Devon’S story is unique. “Usually people become DJ’s and branch out. I started out as a recording artist first and then learned how to spin” says Devon. Devon was discovered at a local New York City club. While his friend was spinning, he grabbed the mike and began rapping and laying down reggae scats over beats. The crowd went into a frenzy and he was approached by a record company executive. A month later he signed a single recording deal with the Pop/Dance group “Skin Deep” (Freeze/After Dark Records). Their debut single “Boom Boom” did very well on national radio and sold over 10,000 units. “Boom Boom” opened the door to his follow up single “How Ya Feelin” on Cutting Records and later his album appearance on several tracks with the Merengue house group, La Jara.

Currently Devon is in the studio working on his solo album, which will concentrate on a variation of his musical influences as well as features from various celebrities from the hip hop and reggae scene. But this does not stop him from being a very active DJ, currently playing major corporate events and the hottest venues that New York City and in Florida has to offer. Such venues include: Exit, Limelight, Chaos, Supper Club, Float, Flow, Discotech, Suede, Lot61, Saci, China Club, Serafinas, Gustavinos, Lotus, Below, Opium Gardens, Nikkie Beach, and Mint.

Donald Trump, Lionel Richie, Evana Trump, Prince, Bruce Willis, Mick Jager, Marc Wallburg, Lenny Kravitz, Hue Heffner, Ron Isley, Denzel Washington, Mariah Carey, Chris Roc, Justin Timberlake, Danny Glover, Britney Spears, Kirstin Dunst, Missy Elliot, Gisele Bundchen and Christina Aguilera.
