Biz (Marcel Hall) Markie is straight out of Harlem, NY. He was born on April 8, 1964. Biz was a part of Marley Marl's Juice Crew.

He made his debut in 1985 on the Roxanne Shante's Track "Def Fresh Crew" (Pop Art). A year later he released the EP "Make The Music" (Prism) together with TJ Swan. He didn't do any album until 1988, when he released "Goin Off" (Cold Chillin). Followed by "Biz Never Sleeps" (Cold Chilean) in '89, "I Need A Haircut" (Cold Chillin) in '91 and "All Samples Cleared" (Cold Chillin) in 1993. He has also released a best of album called "Biz Baddest Beats".

Biz received "fame" outside the hip-hop circuit when he was sued by Gilbert O'Sullivan for sampling his 1972 track 'Alone Again'. The judge (Kevin Thomas) made him pay big time and declaied sampling theft.
