It all began with the desire of mixers Raggamuffin and Salsa. Salsa itself is the fruit of an interbreeding, of an acculturation: Hispanic, black, rhythmic melodies, and American Indian pulsation. The music always evolves when it comes in contact with other cultures, but, formerly, a melody or a dance could take a generation or more to cross oceans and countries. Now, everything goes much more quickly. The men and the music travel at supersonic speed. Without hesitation, my Latin roots catch up with my urban life, and as I am the true great, great, great grandson of the true Sergent Garcia, I make salsamuffin under the name of my worthy grandfather.
