Nik Kershaw was born on Mar 1, 1958 in Bristol, England and has evolved into a commercial songwriter. Nik began his career playing nothing but Deep Cover songs in a band called Half Point Hogg, however, quickly switched his talents to a Jazz-Funk band named Fusion, which has one album to their credit 'Til I Hear from You'. The group disbanded and Nik went on to sign with MCA records and put out his debut single, 'I Won't Let the Sun Go Down on Me' which did well in the U.K. and helped him go on to release his second single 'Wouldn't It Be Good' which broke into the U.S. charts and prompted the re-release of his first single which struck #2 on the U.S. charts. Nik has since recorded five albums and has written several songs for different artists.
