The brain of Nick Oliveri is sick. He is crazy and at times psychotic. He is not putting on an act...or trying to be "bizarre." Nick is the real deal. It's in the eyes...

Mondo Generator is the creation of the psychotic minded bassist Nick Oliveri. His rapsheet and achievements include :

-played in Kyuss from their inception to Blues For The Red Sun.

- played in The Dwarves under the moniker Rex Everything, and had the honour of being kicked out of the band for being "too fucked up." For The Dwarves! As of late Nick's been asked back for recording and has done some singing at their recent "performances."

- infamous for his appearance in the Nick Broomfield documentary Kurt And Courtney and his legendary quote "Play pussy get fucked!"

- currently plays bass and sings in Queens Of The Stone Age.

The players that Nick has assembled for Cocaine Rodeo is a complete Who's Who of heavy rock, stoner-rock, metal...whatever you call it. Josh Homme (Kyuss, Desert Sessions, Queens Of The Stone Age) plays guitar on many of the tracks; Brant Bjork (Kyuss, Desert Sessions, Fu Manchu) plays drums on three tracks; Rob "Up N Syder" (Karma To Burn) plays drums on the rest of the album. In fact you could say that the tracks that feature the lineup of Nick, Josh and Brant (1,7,10) are the very last Kyuss recordings! They are all written by Nick, and current feature in the live set by Queens Of The Stone Age. And to further muddy the waters, the song "13th Floor" is also on the Queens Of The Stone Age album 2, about to be released on Interscope. Of course the version here is much better! Definately raw and more heavy...with none of the major label gloss of the other version. So we've laid all our (cheesy) cards on the table, all fine and good, but...what the hell does it sound like? Well as you might expect from the pedigree, obviously heavy and good!

Very aggressive, very loud, very heavy.
