In 1995, Citizen Kane took the first prize among 3500 competitors in Sweden's largest music competition: "Music Direct", which is better known as "Jeunesses Musicales" and is held in 56 countries around the world.

The band was discovered by Christian van Oostrum, RFM Records and together with Reza Kad, KAD Productions, they decided to sign the band. The production of their first album is currently underway.

Citizen Kane attended in one of the showcases at MIDEM Asia 1997 in Hong Kong as it's first international act. According to MTV Asia and [V] Channel whom were at Citizen Kane's showcase; CK was outstanding. MTV News said "We were chocked!, we couldn't imagine this, we should have our camera crew. So, if you ever find out that they are in your neighborhood, DO NOT miss their concert. Citizen Kane has performed in many festivals throughout Sweden, including Stockholm, Gothenburg, Halmstad, Karlstad, the 1995 Athletic World Championship and in Scandinavian's biggest Anti-Racist event.

Citizen Kane consists of four energetic and talented members: Lead singer & backup guitar: Niklas Ser�n Bass & backup vocals: Linus Gustafsson Lead guitar: Robert Ch�ler Drums & backup vocals: Johnathan Hummelman The talents of these four young musicians combined make up the sound, which is Citizen Kane.

Due to their outstanding live performances, Citizen Kane has proved to their audiences that they are not any ordinary rock band. Even people who hear their music for the first become mesmerized by the charismatic voice of Niklas Ser�n and the captivating performance of the band.
