When Gregory was 13, he was already familiar with many magicians on television, but happened upon one particular magic special by the late magician Doug Henning that particularly enchanted him.

Soon after, his father's gift of a magic kit and Greg's own library card led him on a worldwide journey of bringing that same sense of genuine wonder, charismatic showmanship, and dazzling displays of technology to audiences everywhere. Though Gregory performed regularly throughout his college years, he still found time to graduate from Washburn University in Topeka, KS with a degree in Finance and Economics.

He soon found consistent work as a magician, mostly working for a major nightclub chain. His acumen for business and management led to a position as entertainment director for the company. Being conscientious, bright, and hard-working, he moved up to the ladder to become the general manager before departing for the even bigger challenge.

Before long, he was raising capital from investors starting and operating nightclubs throughout Texas and Kansas. Most notably the legendary nightclub in Dallas, TX called The Basement.

Simultaneously, Kristi was fresh out of college having graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University in Texas with a bachelor's degree in Fashion and Marketing looking to blaze trails of her own. In 1989 those two trails crossed as Gregory and Kristi met, and romantically realized that they should be concentrating their many energies and talents on making magic for their eventual worldwide audiences.

Almost immediately, they were regular performers at Magic Island Dinner Theater in Houston, Texas before landing a major six month engagement in Japan which cemented their status within the magic community as a name act on the fast track. During their time in Japan, Gregory developed several new concepts for brand new illusions, one of which has become Gregory and Kristi's signature illusion, "Light as a Feather", where Kristi is suspended from a feather boa.

Upon returning from the Orient in 1993, marriage bells rang for the duo, and other good fortune was on the horizon as well. In November of 1993, Gregory and Kristi were selected from hundreds of submissions to perform in "The Wizard's Secret" illusion show at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Not only were Gregory & Kristi chosen by the producers to open the hotel, they ended up being the lynchpin of the production, performing to the very end of the "Wizard's Secrets" 28 month contract with the MGM Grand. Gregory and Kristi performed over 8,500 shows each, a world record likely to be untouched for decades.

Such exposure led to even bigger things, including an appearance on the "Tonight Show with Jay Leno"and the national broadcast "Masters of Illusion" as well as an invitation from the Chinese government to perform in a Las Vegas-style review show at the Great Shanghai International Club for a six month engagement.

The Gleason's have toured over 65 countries and just concluded producing, directing and headlining their own major illusion show "Embrace the Mystery" at the Ventian Hotel in Las Vegas.

Due to their love of magic, thorough professionalism, and perhaps mostly because of a long-ago magic special seen by a wondrously idealistic 13 year old boy, the Gleasons are now considered one of the top entertainment duos in magic today.
