Nisha Mathur is a Co-Anchor of the Asian Variety Show. This brisk entertainment news program with international appeal reaches audiences throughout the world. Nisha graduated from SUNY Binghamton in media/communications and later joined AVS with her first assignment at the Marriott Marquis in NYC where she covered the first ever Miss India Universe beauty pageant.

Nisha works as an actress, spokesperson, host and model for mainstream industrial videos, commercials, and print ads. She has worked for companies such as IKEA, Merck, Wyeth, GlaxoSmithKline and others. She also does voiceover work for various organizations.

On a weekly basis Nisha shoots at special scenic locations in NJ as she brings movie lovers a peek into coming attractions. She especially enjoys hosting travel specials shot throughout the United States and Canada. Nisha has also been afforded the opportunity to interview many top Bollywood directors, actors and musicians such as A.R. Rahman, Aishwarya Rai, Abhishekh Bachchan, Subhash Ghai, Yash Chopra, Amir Khan and Salmaan Khan; to name a few.

Apart from television, Nisha also hosts premier screenings of new movies with appearances by celebrities. She hosted the world premiere of “Guru” at the AMC Theatre in NYC. She has also been Master of Ceremonies for major community events including the Navratri festival at the Raritan Center in Edison, NJ; the India Day Parade in New York City with an audience of over 100,000 people, Kumar Shanu concert, and Shreya Ghoshal’s concert.

Nisha has worked in films such as Yashraj films “Tara Rum Pum” in which she had a principal acting role with Rani Mukerjee. Nisha has been a Rajasthani folk dancer since the age of 5 and has choreographed and performed all over the United States. Her other hobbies include cooking, writing and of course watching movies.
