Closer than close, these two powerful women of God are sisters in the Spirit and sisters in the natural. Shannon (Shae Shae) and Dionne (Dee) have been singing together for as long as they can remember. They grew up with the spiritual wisdom of their paternal grandmother Estelle, who is the only surviving member of the original Willis Sisters. They were fed the Clark Sisters' "Is My Living In Vain" from an early age and had Joe Pace, The Anointed Pace Sisters and of course, the original Willis Sisters as their inspiration. Shannon and Dee excepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior while in grade school and was filled with the Holy Ghost as young ladies. Their ministry was evident as they traveled from church to church singing such favorites as "Walk Around Heaven" and "Amazing Grace". Upon moving to Long Island, NY, Shannon began singing with The Voices of Hope of Central Islip, NY. They participated in the McDonald's Gospelfest and earned First Place. In 2002, Dionne founded a group called Continual Praise, during which they recorded their first song entitled..."Continual Praise" of course! After three years, Dionne and Shannon were lead to form the Willis Sisters. They chose the name to pay homage to their grandmother and her sisters, the original Willis Sisters, despite the opinion that it was an "old-fashioned" name. They had the privilege of sharing the stage with Grammy nominated artist Helen Baylor and awesome, anointed new group AJ Spence. With Dionne's stellar writing and Shannon's extra-ordinary arranging abilities, these two are destined for success! Their sound has been described as a cross between Mary Mary, Mary J. Blige and Zhane. Look out for their first single "Highest Praise" from their debut CD entitled Journey, which is to be released in 2009. Their trust and utter belief in God and His promises to them, make them unstoppable...Dionne and Shannon often say, "We are what God says we are and can do what God says we can do because His spirit dwells within us!"
