Who is Davis Highway? Formerly known as Highway 87. Davis Highway derives its name from the lead singer Billy Davis’ last name combined with the old band’s name “Highway”. Davis Highway was formed as a result of four musicians from different backgrounds coming together to form “Country with a Rock Attitude.” Davis Highway draws from all genres of music: Traditional Country, Rock, Metal, Southern Rock. We like to think of our sound as amped-up, exciting, aggressive “Alternative Country.” We are currently in the studio recording our first full length album, which is set to be released around the first of the year. “We are always looking to give the audience a powerful show we love to rock you with some country,” – Davis Highway.
