From spending 19 years on his family's farm, through a successful sales management career, and into his current speaking profession, Rick has always worked hard at being the best. His broad background has led him to serve as President of both the Ohio and National FFA Alumni Associations, and to serve on the National Council for Vocational & Technical Education in Agriculture. Rick Metzger is a member of The Professional Speakers Association of Michigan, the National Speakers Association, and the Ohio Speakers Forum from whom he was awarded the 1993-1994 Distinguished Service Award and the 1995 Chapter member of the Year.

His instant rapport with the audience comes easily from the social and communication skills developed as a retired professional athlete and high school athletic coach. Rick's personal achievements as the 1994-1996 National NASA Bench Press Champion, an American record Holder in drug-free power lifting, and a 1995 gold medalist at the World Cup of Power Lifting (making Rick unquestionably one of America's most powerful speakers) has also created a well projected self-motivation.
